Since its inception in 2014, Voicent's cloud service has thrived, delivering significant success to our customers. But the landscape has evolved. Today, most of our clients already have their own telephone services, and our dailer specialized phone service no longer meets the diverse needs of a global customer base in pricing and quality.
In a market where flexible, on-demand VOIP options are readily available, it's clear that our service model must adapt to better serve and grow with our customers.
With the introduction of STIR/SHAKEN, caller identity verification has become essential—especially for phone services tailored to high-volume dialer campaigns. A lower trust rating increases the chances of calls being blocked by carriers or flagged as spam. To achieve a high rating, providers must validate users' key business details, such as tax IDs and headquarter locations. Given our diverse, worldwide customer base, handling this manual validation process for each user is not practical.
Our on-premise software resolves this issue by utilizing your own telephone services. Nonetheless, it comes with its own set of complexities, requiring expertise and efforts in IT infrastructure for tasks such as server configuration, network setup for user access, VOIP service connection, and ongoing server and software maintenance.
Fortunately, we have a solution.
The BYOS (Bring Your Own Service) feature empowers our customers to utilize a wide array of phone services, including residential or small business VOIP phone services that require minimum verifications, corporate PBS systems, and sip trunk services like Twilio that require extensive verifications but offer high quality calls with branded and verified caller IDs.
As an extension of our cloud platform, the BYOS solution offer the best of both worlds. Simply input your phone service information, and you can use our cloud service just as before. No software to install and maintain, no network devices to configure, and no license keys to purchase.
With BYOS, cloud pricing remains the same except usage fee is slashed by 50% compared to a non-BYOS plan. For example, 2500 pacakge is offered at 3 cents per minute. With BYOS, it is offered at 1.5 cents per minute. (Apparently, you also need to pay your phone service separately. Depending on your phone service, the overall cost normally should be similar or lower.)
Almost all VOIP services have information and/or have phone support for setting up with Bria, a soft phone software you can use to make and receive phone calls. Bria Solo, used to be X Lite, is free and very polular. Once working, you can use the same SIP credentials to configure the Voicent software.
Here are the steps:
Please note you can test your VOIP service without using the Voicent software. When contacting their support, it is better NOT to mention Voicent or dialer, as this may confuse them more. Simply ask them to help you set up Bria.
